Growing up in Florida, I have always found inspiration in the richness of color, texture, and light found in the state's natural beauty: sky blue, sunset orange, azalea fuchsia, cardinal red.

I paint primarily using acrylic or oil paints on canvas. I choose colors to inspire excitement and energy and create textures that enrich and enliven my subjects, while playing with light to captivate the viewer’s gaze. My style is more loose than tight, merging an abstract background with a more detailed subject. Then I thoughtfully add strokes of color and layers of paint to create distinctive textures and bring my subjects to life — from bromeliad blooms to wave-chasing sandpipers to juicy oranges.   

As an artist, my mission is to capture the diverse wildlife and lush landscapes of Florida, transferring their dynamic spirit and splendor onto canvas to create pieces that awaken the viewer's senses and stir the soul.
